Getting Low ink error while printing documents from any printer is a common issue and can be fixed with some simple steps. We will rather suggest you ignore such issues and continue printing as long as the printer prints well. If your printer won’t allow you to print or creates any trouble because of Low ink error, a quick reset can work well. Use the below steps to reset your printer:

  • First, take out the printer cartridge and then turn your printer off.
  • Now you need to unplug the power cord and after waiting for 15 minutes plug it back.
  • After that turn, the printer on and then reinstall the cartridges.
  • Check if the printer is working well; if not then reinstall the printer driver.
  • Note that even after resetting and reinstalling your printer if you are still getting “Low Ink” error message, it may be because the chip in the cartridge isn’t able to reset. We believe this issue should not affect your printing quality and you can continue printing without any trouble.

The reason behind getting such error can be that your ink cartridge is not installed properly or the protective tape is not removed. Make sure to remove the protective tape properly as it usually covers the ink port and electrical contacts of the cartridge. These error messages are a common issues among printers and can also be a cause of remanufactured ink cartridge that doesn’t necessarily says to use original ink cartridge as long as your printer is printing fine. Errors like No cartridge, low ink, cartridge not recognized is no threat and you can safely ignore it and happily print until your printer is doing the work.
